We’ve all heard of Superman and Batman, and we even know the story of Ironman and Captain America. But what had made these fictional hero movies the must-see in every theater across the world? The tales of these comic book heroes have been on the rise since DC Comics’ The Dark Knight in 2008 and Marvel Comics’ The Avengers in 2012. In the past few years, superhero movies have been given all the attention in the movie industry, releasing such films as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Batman v. Superman, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America: Civil War, and Suicide Squad.

Comic-based movies have slowly started to attract audiences of all ages and genders which brings in more revenue. The Avengers ranked in at 5th on the list of highest-grossing movies, with The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailing in the 7th place spot. DC Comics also appears on the list with The Dark Knight Rises at 17th and The Dark Knight at 27th. Even the newest Captain America movie comes in the top ten making $1,153,296,293. Superhero movies bring more crowds to movie theaters around the world to enjoy the small banters between characters and skillfully choreographed fight scenes. And with the advances in film technology, major battle scenes, such as the Battle of New York in The Avengers, appear more realistic and exciting for viewers. On top of that, the dialogue between godly characters, such as Superman and Batman, is duly noted as iconic to moviegoers. Another main aspect that brings people out to the theaters to watch these films is the actors that star in them. Actors and Actresses such as Henry Cavill, Margot Robbie, Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd, and Jennifer Lawrence have all played an important role in bringing superheroes to life on screen.

Some upcoming and highly anticipated superhero movies include Doctor Strange, Justice League, Spiderman: Homecoming, Wonder Woman, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and The Wolverine 3. With these new movies hitting theaters soon, a large wave of action movie lovers will be attending these comic-based movies to see their favorite characters come to life or to try something new.
