Why is your towel dirty after a shower?

Kyle Hauser , Reporter

Towels are used everyday, but shouldn’t they be clean?  You spend time in the shower scrubbing your body and cleaning your pores.  You scrub and scrub and think you are clean, but are you?  You get out of the shower and dry yourself off.  Your body is supposed to be all cleaned with all the soap you just used, but  after a few days, you can noticeably see your towel getting dirty. How would this be possible.

The reason is all of the dead skin cells on your body.  With just soap and using your hands, it can not get rid of all of the dead skin cells.  With your towel, the cotton scrubs the dead skins cells of and it sticks to the towel.  This causes the towels to get dirty.
