Sam Erb, Reporter

Boys swimming here at north takes place right after girls swimming in the winter time. The varsity team has one swimmer who has done extraordinarily well for himself. Devin Green, a sophomore here at Belvidere North, broke three school records. He also made varsity his first year on the high school swim team. Dec. 3 the swim team had a meet at harlem, Green had first place times consisting of 25.49, 27.85,28.09,and 28.43 seconds in the 200 yard freestyle. On tuesday Dec. 6 the meet in Freeport was cancelled because of pool complications.

“ The goal I have set for myself this year would be to try and make it state or come close to going to state.” said Green (‘19)

“ This year we have been putting in more yardage in this year that last and everyone is working harder and being a better team overall with their times” Said Aiden Filipovic (‘19) Hopefully, everything goes well for Norths swim team by the end of the season.
