Throughout the past eight years Obama has brought this country back from unbelievable crisis. Whether you like Obama or not, Obama has greatly changed this country.

When he was elected president on November 4 of 2008, America wasn’t in the greatest spot. Obama came in, took over and has achieved some of the greatest accomplishments possible.

The most controversial thing Obama ever did was create the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Obamacare has covered over 32 million people who are uninsured. Almost all countries offer universal healthcare, but the US still doesn’t. Obamacare greatly impacted so many lives that if Trump truly takes away this act, many people will be left hopeless again.

Another action Obama acted on was pulling all troops from Iraq. This ended the war, all troops were successfully pulled on December 18, 2011.

Obama also ended Osama Bin Laden. In 2011, special forces raided the compound in Pakistan, which terrorist leader Bin Laden was killed. This raid led to the discovery of al- Qaeda documents.

On June 21, 2015, gay marriage becomes legal.

Unemployment rates went down. The unemployment rate went down 614,000 under Obama’s terms.

Also, less unemployment supports the growth for job opportunities. Job openings are up 97% since the beginning of his term.

All in all, Obama has created immense amounts of positivity in the past eight years of his presidency. With a new party in office many things may change but the things Obama has done for this country will never be forgotten.
