As the season for boys basketball kicks off, the boys are 1 and 4 in the Conference. Many of the players state this season is starting off rough, but they are working hard everyday to get back to the top.

With twenty six games in the season it is easy to get tired out quickly, but the team keeps pushing to the end.

“I think with the work we are putting in we have a good chance of meeting our goals at the end of the season,” said Randy Ahlenius(‘19).

Recently the past few weeks the guys have played Guilford and Freeport. North lost to Guilford 63-48. Cal Diercks(‘18) and John Carlson (‘19) were the leading scorer with17. Against Freeport the team won with a score of 78-50. The top scorers were Zach Reidenbach(‘20) with 14 points and John Carlson(‘19) with 19 points.

On Wednesday December 13th, North went through a tough loss 59-33 with Sebastian Gutierrez(‘18) scoring 13 points.

“We hope to try our best and stay up there with the team, as Boylan has a good history behind them,” Said Sebastian Gutierrez(‘18).

The team hopes to see a good crowd at the rest of their games and tournaments, as they will be losing a few star seniors next season. The next big game is the Saturday 12/16 against Jefferson.
