The girls basketball team has already had a few games and tournaments this season. The past few weeks the girls have put up a good fight but fell short for a few of the games. Their current record is 2-4. This past week they played Rockford East here at North and the final score was 48-64. It was a very intense game and the girls tried their best to the end. The points made in the first quarter were 14-22, second were 12-11, third 9-19, and fourth 13-12.

As the girls continue their season a main focus is to not give up and work as a team. Peyton Flynn(‘18) says, “Our team has some really strong players and a lot of talent, when we learn to work together to perform better we will definitely receive the results we want.”

The team’s next game is next Tuesday the 19th home versus Freeport at 7pm. Ashlyn Smith(‘19) says, “We may sometimes fall short of the win, but we always come together for a good performance.” The girls are excited about their season and believe they can do big things.
