Marvel’s Doctor Strange comes out early in November

     Doctor Strange (November 4): Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson who directed Sinister, Deliver Us from Evil and The Day the Earth stood Still.This Marvel movie expands the already vast Cinematic Universe that they have built. Doctor Strange is about a cocky neurosurgeon who gets into a car accident and loses his ability to use his hands. He travels around the world until he meets the Ancient One. She teaches him the ways he can still impact the world around him by teaching him magical abilities. He must use these new abilities to stop a threat to the world that only few can defeat.

     Cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel Mcadams and Mads Mikkelson

       Hacksaw Ridge (November 4):  This film is directed by Mel Gibson who has made   Academy Award winning films such as The Patriot, Passion of the Christ and fan favorite, Lethal Weapon. Hacksaw Ridge is about the true story of World War Two veteran, Desmond T. Doss, who refused to use a weapon in battle due to his religious beliefs. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for saving 75 men in the Battle of Okinawa. With Mel returning to the director’s chair, audiences will hope this film is as good in quality as those previously mentioned Oscar winners.

            Arrival (November 11): This film is directed by Denis Villeneuve. He has directed award-nominated films such as Sicario, Prisoners and Enemy. Arrival is about the arrival of extraterrestrial ships landing in twelve countries around the world. Linguistics professor, Louise Banks, must race against time and the world threatening war with the aliens. He and a team of investigators figure out a way to communicate with the alien life.

Cast: Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker, Michael Stuhlberg and Ruth ChiangFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (November 18): This film is a spinoff/prequel film in the Harry Potter universe. This film is directed by David Yates who directed The Legend of Tarzan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One and Two. This film centers around Newt Scemander, who travels around the human world to document and keep magical beasts. He travels to New York and loses his case of magical creatures. Newt must join forces with local wizards to stop those who wish to use the beasts for evil.
