This week Steelers running back Le’veon Bell had one of the biggest games in recent NFL history.  The game was being played in Buffalo, with a big snowstorm raging the entire game.  Buffalo defenders were unable to even come close  to stopping Bell, slipping and sliding all over the field.  Bell plowed through Buffalo’s run defense, running for 236 yards on 38 carries.  Bell added four catches to his already huge day, for an additional 62 yards.  This brought his total for the day to 298 yards from scrimmage.  Bell also added 3 touchdowns, all three touchdowns being on the ground.

Bell’s performance led the Steelers to a 27-20 victory, despite quarterback Ben Roethlisberger throwing three interceptions.   Bell’s 298 yards alone outgained the entire Bills offense.  The victory moves the Steelers record to 8-5, putting them in sole possession of first place in the AFC North, thanks to a Ravens loss to the Patriots on Monday Night Football.

Bell’s performance not only helped the Steelers gain an edge over the Ravens, it also helped fantasy football owners in the first round of the fantasy playoffs.  Bell totaled 47.5 fantasy points, making it one of the best fantasy performances of all time, and the second best performance since 2000.  A owner with Bell on his team bought themselves a one way ticket to the second round.  He has firmly placed himself as the frontrunner as fantasy football MVP, taking claim over David Johnson.  Not only is he in the running for fantasy MVP, he is also one of the frontrunners for NFL MVP.
