Roger Federer was born and raised in Switzerland.  Though Federer’s life has pretty much revolved around tennis, there was a time in his life where it did not.  Federer was and is currently a member of the compulsory military service.

As for the rest of his life, it has almost completely been centered around tennis.  Federer has been a professional tennis player since 1998.  That is 19 years and he is still one of, if not, the most elite tennis player in the game.  Federer has been ranked in the top ten for national rankings since 2002.  He has been in the top ten for 15 years straight without dropping out of the top ten once.

Roger Federer won his first Grand Slam in 2003 in only his fifth year as being a professional tennis player.  Since 2003, Federer has won a total of 18 Grand Slams.  That makes him the most dominate male Grand Slam tennis player in the world and second most dominant between men and women.  The only women that has won more Grand Slams than him is Serena Williams who has 23 total Grand Slam wins.

His most recent was this past weekend where he declared that this was the best he has ever felt after winning his 18th Grand Slam titles.  This just shows that winning never gets old.  Winning is fun no matter how many times you do win.  It is a great feeling and Roger Federer knows exactly what it feels like to win multiple major competitions.
