New Starbucks Drinks

Starbucks is a coffee company started in 1971 and is still around today. There are hundreds of drink combinations available for customers to choose from. The menu only shows a few of these drinks but there are loads of others to choose from. In January, the new Cascara Latte was added to the menu, the first of three to come.

The first drink that was added to their long list of offered drink, was the Cascara Latte. This drink combines espresso with milk and cascara syrup. There is also a sprinkle of cascara topping added to the drink for even more flavor. The drink comes from a cherry made to use delicious coffee. Key notes of the drink are brown sugar and maple. This drink is currently still available to order and a venti (24 oz drink) costs $5.71.

Another drink that was released this year was the coconutmilk mocha macchiato. This drink is much like the other macchiatos available at Starbucks. Shots of espresso are poured over coconut milk. It is also combined with white mocha sauce and a signature drizzle of caramel sauce. In addition to the last drink, this one is also $5.71. This is the only drink of the three that can’t be made vegan or dairy free if that was something a customer was concerned with.

The final drink Starbucks has released is the cinnamon almondmilk macchiato. A key note for this drink is the cinnamon. The drink is crafted carefully, starting with the pumps of cinnamon dulce syrup. The almondmilk is then added accordingly and the shots of espresso are poured over. If made with ice, the ice is poured in first before everything else. Caramel drizzle is always optional with macchiatos. If a customer is lactose intolerant or vegan, they have the option to ask for no caramel drizzle otherwise it’ll be placed on top of the drink as well as the cinnamon dolce topping which is also not dairy free but can be optional too.

There is no word yet on whether or not these drink will be temporary but you can still get all three for the time being. Prices for the espresso drinks are all the same, $5.71. If you decide to ask for a different dairy free alternative milk or extra syrup, it will cost a bit more than that. Starbucks will continue expanding their already large menu and these three espresso drinks are the first new ones of this year.
