The new NBC hit comedy, The Good Place, is onto their second season. With stars like Kristen Bell and Ted Danson as the cast, the show has been getting nothing but phenomenal feedback from critics and audiences.
The Good Place revolves around Eleanor Shellstrop, played by Kristen Bell, as she finds herself in the afterlife. After Shellstrop realizes she’s made it to the Good Place, a heaven-like oasis, she also discovers that she was put there by mistake. In order to stay in the Good Place and stay out of harm’s way, she hides from Michael, Ted Danson, the Good Place’s architect and his assistant. Making some friends and enemies along the way, Eleanor decides to throw away her old life in hopes to discover a new one in the afterlife.
“It’s a solid show! Everyone should watch the hell out of it, said Sofi Zeman (19’).
The Good Place, since its premiere, has received positive feedback for its original, witty comedy, as well as its setting, acting performances and the twist ending in the first-season finale. The Good Place is ranked with a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and has a 7.9/10 on IMDb.
“The show is super good! Definitely worth the watch,” said Burke Cochran (19’).
Michael Schur, the creator of the show, has been the master-mind behind some of the greatest comedy series that have hit television over the last decade. Schur is the writer and producer of shows like Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Halftime Special.
