Facebook executive hates Facebook

Hunter Dixon, Reporter

Some of the former Facebook executives have felt that making Facebook was a horrible idea and it makes them feel a “tremendous guilt.” They believe that by using Facebook it is ripping apart the way society works. The former vice president Chamath Palihapitiya believes that Facebook is “destroying society” and that Facebook is changing the way people feel and act around each other. Chamath has also made 1 billion dollars in the facebook business so he must not feel too guilty.

The whole purpose of Facebook was supposed to be able to make the world more open and connected and to be able to stay in contact with friends and family. To see what’s going on in other parts of the world and to also meet new people. Facebook can also be used in ways that are bad, it can lead you to a sense of false consensus, it can become addictive, and can also reveal information you might not want to share with an employee.

In conclusion Facebook is going to be around for a long time. Its one of the most used websites in America more than 100 million people use it throughout the world.
