Varsity Dance

This year has been a very busy year for the Belvidere North Varsity Dance team every weekend they have had competitions and then they still have to perform at the home basketball games. There first competition was at Lake Zurich for the Lake Zurich Invite there they placed 13th out of sixteen teams.

This year was the first year that our varsity team has gotten 4th at the Nic-10 competition. The competition was out of ten teams and our school was happy to say that we got fourth. Their sectionals are coming up this Friday and the team has been working hard at practice and would like to be top three.

“This year our dance season has been at the best it’s ever been. I’m really proud of all of our girls for working our hardest. We’ve had the best diversity and skill level that we’ve ever had and continued to make history this year. I really hope that we continue to get better each and every year. What I enjoy the most about dance is getting to choreograph our own dances because it lets us get creative, have fun, and grow as dancers. Our Nic-10 performance is always the best part of the comp season too. I’m definitely going to miss competing next year,” said Nicole Bratton (‘18).

Now that the season is quickly coming to the end they are practicing their hardest to do good at sectionals. You can go watch our dance team perform sectionals on Saturday the 20th at Sycamore High School.
