Lockport High school placed 3rd on podium with a score of 94.07.

On Friday February 7, Belvidere North did the walk of Champions to send the cheer team to state. At prelims, the team placed 4th place in the Coed division with a couple mistakes through the routine. They made the top 10 teams that then moved on to the state finals the next day. On Saturday, Belvidere North put on a great performance with one stunt fall and ended the season off with a 2nd place state title.

Brynn Messenger (‘21) said, “This season was full of many obstacles we had to make our way around, second place wasn’t as much about the placement and more about getting to experience a lot of our final moments together as many on the team being seniors. This season was full of different emotions almost every week and it was a crazy ride but it was important for us to cherish every second. After what we’ve been through this season second place was still very rewarding after such a tough season!”

Second place was a proud achievement for the Belvidere North Coed cheer team this season, and North is ready for another amazing season starting in about a month with open gyms. Belvidere North cheer, is always looking for new boys and girls to join the coed program.
