Best Buddy Ski Trip

On Friday February 28, students in the Ski club, Best Buddies, and VEI Club took a trip to Cascade Mountain in Wisconsin.

They arrived at Cascade around 11:30 and the first activity everyone participated in was the snow tubes. Mr. Oldani and Mr. Young and many Best Buddy helpers brought everyone. After going on the snow tubes they ate lunch at Cascade.

Izzy Sandwick (‘21) talks about snow tubing with the buddies,”It was so much fun, and it was a beautiful day. My favorite part was being able to see the excitement on their faces and how much they were enjoying it.”

There were two different bus times that students decided to take. Some stayed until 6 pm, but most went home at 1 pm. It was a great experience for the Best Buddies and some of them stayed after and learned how to ski with helpers.

Caiden Kimerly (‘21) said, ”skiing was really fun because I got to ski with my friends and others that I didn’t know as well. It was really fun snow tubing with the Best Buddies and being able to be a part of a fun experience for them. I think that more people should join the Ski Club next year because it really was a fun time getting to ski with our school.”

Overall it was a fun experience for everyone and in many students opinions, should be continued throughout next winter.
